Placard has a highly secure in-house PIN (Personal Identification Number) processing bureau which is certified by VISA/MasterCard for operation separate to Placard’s Non PIN Bureau area. Dedicated physically secure HSM cryptography equipment is used to decrypt PIN and specialised PIN production machines are used to print, protect and insert the PIN information into envelopes.
