Indue has a 5-year relationship with Placard for the manufacture and personalisation of payment cards for credit, debit, loyalty, prepaid and gift card products. As an aggregator, Indue has approximately 30 card issuing clients, over 100 individual card designs and annual production that includes more than 200,000 credit and debit cards. In September 2007 we commenced a project for the issuance of our first EMV compliant chip cards. This project required the involvement of a number of key partners - Visa, Placard and First Data with overall project management undertaken by Indue. From inception, Placard demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and expertise on the development and deployment of chip payment cards and was able to apply this knowledge to our project. Placard's involvement in the project included the set-up of a full end-to-end process for creating chip cards. This included the manufacture of the plastic, sourcing of the chip, milling and embedding (placing the chip on the card) establishment of the card profile (Visa application parameters), management of cryptographic processing on the chip, assistance in testing with Visa and personalisation of the data on the chip. In June 2008, we commenced the issuance of the production chip cards for one Visa issuer and now plan the rollout of this technology to all our clients over the course of the next 24 months. The success of this project was achieved through the ability of all key participants to work effectively together to address changing requirements and to respond quickly to resolve issues as they arose.
